Crisis at Christmas 2010 - Donations

Further to our recent blog regarding our pledge to donate to Crisis for all our new client instructions between 8 November and 8 December, we have now made such donations and would like to thank our clients for their instruction which allowed this to happen.

Just to re-iterate our previous blog and to highlight the amazing work Crisis undertakes, Crisis are the national charity for single homeless people. Not only do they help homeless people in transforming their lives but they are also dedicated and committed to preventing homelessness. They provide comprehensive support and services ranging from housing advice, health checks, specialist assistance (e.g. helping people to overcome drink and drug dependencies) and offer the opportunity for people to gain new skills and find employment.

Crisis at Christmas begins on 23 December and lasts for 8 days. They serve around a whopping 38,000 hot meals to 2,500 homeless people during this time as well as offering the services mentioned above. Around £20 can reserve a place for a homeless person at Crisis at Christmas where they will receive three meals and access to advice and assistance which can help them to turn their life around.

You can still donate to this charity and you may even still be able to volunteer. Visit http://www.crisis.org.uk/ for more information.
